Stelt runs on your own AI keys — your Anthropic (Claude) key for the assistant’s brain and your Google Text-to-Speech key for the voice — billed to you at cost, with no markup from us.
What it means
Rather than bundling AI usage into a marked-up plan, Stelt lets you connect your own provider accounts. The assistant runs on your keys, so the usage is yours — priced by the providers, not by us.
Why it’s better for you
You get control and transparency: you see your own provider usage, you’re never paying a middleman markup, and for agencies running many client businesses, each can use the appropriate keys. It’s the same reason developers prefer bringing their own keys elsewhere.
What it costs
You pay Anthropic and Google directly at their rates — typically a few dollars a month at normal traffic — plus Stelt’s flat platform fee per business. There’s no surprise usage bill hidden in a plan.
How setup works
Create a key at each provider’s console and paste it into your business’s settings in Stelt. The Anthropic key powers the answers; the Google Text-to-Speech key gives Willow her natural voice (without it, she falls back to a basic browser voice).
Keys and security
Your keys belong to your accounts and are used only to run your assistant. Keep a little billing credit on the provider side so calls always succeed. We never see your provider usage.
